Ed. note:
This update regards the
upcoming historic Continental Congress 2009 event
to be held in Philadelphia directly across from
Independence Hall. As part of CC 2009,
delegates selected by the People from each of the
fifty states will convene to discuss the
Government’s ongoing violations of the
Constitution and strategies the People can employ
to peaceably curtail the abuse. Although these
violations have been widely debated for years, it
is the Government’s patent refusal to respond to
any and all First Amendment Petitions for Redress
that now compel the People to justly and actively
resist the tyranny.
We strongly encourage our readers to review
each of our
latest updates.
At a minimum, please be sure to read our “Summit
Call”
and “Line
in the Sand” web
articles
which provide a good overview of the
constitutional crisis and CC 2009
initiative.

WTP is pleased to announce that supporters can now place
individuals into nomination as potential Delegates
to the historic Continental Congress 2009 scheduled
to convene in Philadelphia later this winter.
The secured online system to submit a CC 2009
Delegate nomination can be accessed here:
https://givemeliberty.org/Delegates2009/SignIn.aspx |
procedure detailing the on-line
submission process and a discussion of the data
responses required for each nomination. (.pdf)
Nominators are strongly urged to print out and read
the entire procedure before attempting to
access or begin the online submission process.
Nominators are likewise very strongly urged
to use a word processor to insure proper spelling
and grammar as they prepare their responses for
public posting and consideration. Nominators are
also reminded to preview their submissions and
validate the integrity of any web links embedded in
their nominee responses.
Nomination
Review & Preliminary Approval
After nominations are received via the on-line system,
nominations will be first submitted to a review
process. This initial review will be conducted by
WTP management and/or a number of designees who will
evaluate each nomination submitted to insure minimal
personal qualifications and fitness as a CC 2009
delegate.
Following this review, approved nominees from each
state will have their responses and personal photos
displayed on each of the fifty WTP Congress state
web pages. An example web page illustrating the
nominee display concept can be
found here.
Please note that nominations can be withdrawn,
modified or enhanced at any time prior to closure by
the submitter by logging back in at the main
nomination link (see above).
Delegate Voting
At a future date (still to be determined)
nominations will be closed for further submission.
At that time, detailed procedures regarding how to
cast votes for Delegate nominees will be announced.
