Ed. note:
This update regards the
upcoming historic Continental Congress 2009 event
to be held in Philadelphia directly across from
Independence Hall. As part of CC 2009,
delegates selected by the People from each of the
fifty states will convene to discuss the
Government’s ongoing violations of the
Constitution and strategies the People can employ
to peaceably curtail the abuse. Although these
violations have been widely debated for years, it
is the Government’s patent refusal to respond to
any and all First Amendment Petitions for Redress
that now compel the People to justly and actively
resist the tyranny.
We strongly encourage our readers to review
each of our
latest updates.
At a minimum, please be sure to read our “Summit
Call”
and “Line
in the Sand” web
articles
which provide a good overview of the
constitutional crisis and CC 2009
initiative.

Tuesday night brought out a large and engaged crowd
in northern Ohio in support of the historic CC 2009
initiative.
WTP Chairman Bob Schulz reported the crowd took keen
interest in the CC 2009 concept and implementation
process, making numerous suggestions as to how
voting for Delegates might proceed and about other
issues regarding the Congress project. |
Schulz remarked that he was extremely pleased with
the large turnout and that, “Ohio is now well
underway toward organizing for the next steps of
building the Continental Congress.”

Nominate Your CC 2009 Delegates!
Potential Delegates to the Continental Congress 2009
assembly can now be entered into nomination using
our secure, on-line nomination system.
Please be sure to read the
procedure before attempting to
access the nomination system.
After an initial review by WTP management and/or
state designees, the information submitted by
qualified nominees will be displayed on the main WTP
Congress web site pages for public review and
consideration. See an example of the nominee
display concept
here.
Please note that in their submitted responses to
WTP, designees may provide links to outside
websites, videos, and other media so that the public
may better assess their qualifications as a
Delegate.
Following a to-be-determined nominating time window,
individuals will then be able to cast votes for
their favorite Delegate Nominees. Final voting
procedures and schedule deadlines will be released
in the near future.
Please remember, and as we have stated in previous
updates, that are we looking for respected community
leaders, accomplished individuals, and articulate,
committed patriots to stand in defense of the
Constitution and Liberty and to represent the People
of each state at the CC 2009 Congress proceedings.
The
quality of our Delegates will ultimately serve as a
measure of the integrity and seriousness of the CC
2009 initiative and will likewise strongly influence
the perceptions of many Americans who will
eventually become exposed to its proceedings and its
history making mission.
Please encourage those of accomplishment and means
within your “circle of life” to commit themselves
and/or their resources to this most important
Liberty project. The future of the Republic and the
Liberty of our People may well depend directly on
its success.
Remember that the Continental Congress 2009 project
is funded entirely by your generous, tax
deductible
donations.
Clarification:
Note of clarification: The Continental Congress
2009 initiative has nothing to do with the
efforts of others attempting to force via election
and/or call for a “Constitutional Convention” in
order to revise and/or rewrite the U.S.
Constitution. WTP is committed to defending the
Constitution that we currently enjoy. Please
make sure that individuals you communicate with
understand this critical distinction.
New WTP Blog:
Don't forget to visit the new WTP blog:
www.WeThePeopleCongress.org/BLOG.
Please check the
meeting schedule for additional details
and local WTP contacts.
Thank you for
your
generous support. Please remember that your tax-deductible donations are the sole
source of funding the Continental Congress 2009
project.
