Mr. Obama: Don’t Miss Next Week’s Chicago Tribune

Full-Page Citizenship Challenge To Run Twice,
December 1st and 3rd

D.C. National Press Club Event: Dec 8th

Our full-page Open Letter to Mr. Obama will be published in the Chicago Tribune on both Monday, December 1, 2008 and Wednesday, December 3, 2008. It will appear in the main news section. Click here to view a copy of the final ad.

Chicago is Mr. Obama’s hometown. His transition team is operating out of the Kluczynski Federal Building in downtown Chicago. He is known to be a regular reader of the Tribune, Chicago’s principal newspaper, with a daily circulation of over a half-million readers.

The Open Letter to Mr. Obama is a formal Petition for a Redress (Remedy) for the alleged violation of the “natural born citizen” clause of the Constitution of the United States of America.
Mr. Obama is respectfully requested to direct the Hawaiian officials to provide access to his original birth certificate on December 5-7 by our team of forensic scientists, and to provide additional documentary evidence establishing his citizenship status prior to our Washington, D.C. press conference on December 8.

A First Amendment Petition to any official of the Government for Redress of a violation of the Constitution is substantially different from the garden-variety political petitions frequently received by government officials. This Petition demands it be given the highest priority for an expedited review and official Response by Mr. Obama.

As a formal “Notice of a Constitutional Violation,” the Petition naturally includes the People’s inherent Right to an official Response. As a time-sensitive, election related Petition involving the Office of the President, failure to Respond as requested would constitute an egregious breach of the public trust and confirm the certainty of a Constitutional crisis.

For the D.C. press conference the WTP Foundation has reserved the Edward R. Murrow Room at the National Press Club from 1-4 pm on Monday, December 8, 2008. We are hopeful that C-SPAN may cover what could be a pivotal, historic event.

The Petition for Redress/Open Letter to Mr. Obama is also expected to have a significant impact on the deliberations of the Electoral College as it proceeds toward selection of the U.S. President as provided for by the Constitution.

Many, many thanks to the many individuals who donated the money needed to cover the costs of publishing the Open Letter and conducting the Washington press conference.

We are now in the process of selecting the forensic scientists who would travel to Hawaii to examine Mr. Obama’s original birth certificate (assuming he responds to the Petition for Redress by directing the Hawaiian officials to provide access to the birth certificate).  The budget for this task is currently estimated at $20,000. We need to raise the money quickly. Unfortunately, we are starting from zero and we have but one week before the scientists would need to be in Hawaii.

Annual Fund Raiser
2009 Freedom Calendars Now Shipping

November is the month when we traditionally launch our Annual Fund Drive to help the Foundation meet its project and administrative costs. We do so again, now, with this Update, only this year there is a special urgency – the likelihood that we will need to send two or three forensic scientists to Hawaii at the end of next week.

Once again, our year-end 2009 Annual Fund Drive features the very popular Freedom Calendar published for us by Daniel Pilla, Sr. (More details below).

We appeal to our members and supporters to please respond with much haste and generosity.

Together, we have again succeeded in advancing an intelligent, rational and professional defense of our Constitution and Liberty – striking a balance between civic education and civic action.  Next week, many more Americans will not only learn about Article II, Section 1, Clause 4 of the Constitution (the natural born citizen clause), they will also learn about the provision of the Constitution that guarantees the People’s Right to hold each and every government official accountable to the Constitution – the Right of Redress, embodied in the last ten words of the First Amendment.

With your continued support we can do so much more.

Now more than ever, WTP needs your support.

Over the past year both our Republic and our organization have weathered much. Our Government has escalated its attacks on our beloved Constitution and We The People has, with the means available, responded in the defense of Liberty.

We have taken the tyrants to courts of the Judiciary. We have taken the tyrants to the court of public opinion. We have laid the groundwork for the coming battles for Freedom by establishing an historic record of Government’s steadfast refusal to abide by our Constitution and its refusal to justify its behavior.

We have fought and we have stood resolute in the face of those that would seize our Liberty. And although the war may not yet have been won, it has, by the vigilant hand of the Heavens, not yet been lost.

To this day, this organization stands virtually alone in its unyielding commitment to confront the despots that aggrieve us, to demand accountability to the Law, and to secure the vision of human Rights conferred upon us by our Founders.

As the year draws to a close, WTP remains the leading, if not only, organization directly confronting tyranny.  Beyond words, We The People has undertaken a mission of action.

But missions, like wars, consume resources – many resources, and Righteous wars, if they are to be won, cannot be waged without them.  Our operation requires professional services such as Accounting, Information Technology, etc. We also have significant overhead costs to bear (utilities, Internet resources, office equipment, technology/software maintenance, support vendors, licensing fees, etc.  We also incur substantial direct project expenses whenever we engage a new battlefront (e.g., legal research database costs, court filing fees, travel, etc.) or stage a public Right-to-Petition event (venue costs, video/audio services, web-casting costs, etc.)

We can only fight with what we have. Our mission cannot proceed without your support.  As we have shown with our Obama citizenship challenge, with your commitment, we can accomplish much.

Today We The People renews its call for your commitment to both our cause and our organization.  Although we cannot guarantee our victory, we can guarantee those that support us nothing less than our full devotion to the defense of Liberty.

Please join our cause and help garner the resources that will enable us to escalate our resistance against those that would deprive us of our Freedoms.

To that end, we make our year-end appeal for your donations.  We are now offering the 2009 Freedom Calendar packages.

As we did last year, the Freedom Calendar donation packages have been configured to give you, our supporters -- the heart of our organization, the means to share our message of defense of the Constitution and to expose your friends and neighbors to the WTP organization.

To that end, we have configured the (3) three donation packages below.  Each of the packages includes the 2009 Freedom Calendar.  It contains a multitude of Liberty related facts and inspirational messages. Each of the packages also contains the historic 2008 Congressional Petitions disc submitted to every member of Congress on June 30th as well as the WTP 3-color “Give Me Liberty or Die” bumper sticker.

Larger donations not only receive multiple Calendars, they contain enhancements including the Right-to-Petition Educational Materials disc which contains copies of the academic research regarding the Right of Petition as well as copies of the historic legal briefs.  This is a previously unreleased, professionally produced WTP educational product.  The third donation package also makes available the WTP C-SPAN DVD disc covering the historic July 2004 Right-to-Petition lawsuit event at the National Press Club in Washington. (The C-SPAN DVD is currently offered alone for a $100 donation on the Foundation’s online store).

Many Thanks in advance for your continued support of WTP your faith in our shared mission of securing Liberty.
